Y’all Rock Summer Camp
WHo Can Participate?
Girls, trans, and non binary youth entering grades 3 – 12. We recommend applying as early as possible to secure your spot before our roster is full. Registration opens in spring.
does my child need experience?
Nope! Campers can enter at any experience level, even if it’s none. Instrumentation will be taught at beginner and intermediate levels based on volunteer instructor capacity.
What is the Camp Schedule?
Camp runs from Monday to Friday. Drop off is 8:30-9 AM and pick up is at 4:30. The camper showcase is held on Saturday, campers must commit to the full camp week (including showcase) in order to participate.
Can my Child Bring Their Personal Instrument?
They are welcome to bring their own guitar, bass or pedals, but must be responsible for it. We cannot guarantee they will be given their first instrument choice. All necessary equipment will be provided.
What Can My CHild Expect?
A fun and safe space full of volunteer artists and musicians from the regional community. Small group and one- to-one instrument instruction. Song- writing workshops. Band practice with personalized band coaches. Daily snacks, plenty of water, and healthy lunches. Empowering workshops about stage presence, self defense, media literacy, screen printing, and zine making, plus karaoke and open-mic sessions!
Do I have to Pay the Full Tuition?
No! We offer sliding scale tuition, from $0-400. We ask each family to pay what they are able to. NO child is denied due to lack of funds.
